Storm Chase Details
Chase Date: June 3, 2024
Miles Logged: 376
States Chased: OK
Severe Risks: SPC Outlooks
Chase Recap:
Similar setup to yesterday with a morning MCS across Oklahoma leaving an outflow boundary with storms to work with. The difference from the previous day, however, was upper air support. Or lack thereof.

I left Norman with a target in Southwest Oklahoma. I ended up near Eldorado to drive on some of the roads I went down on May 23rd. I ended up watching storms try to go up and struggle.

23Z Visible Satellite Loop
Here’s the visible satellite loop at 23Z/6pm CDT. You can see the failed attempts near Childress and the general struggle for storms to sustain.

00Z Soundings
As you can see below, we had some warm 700mb temps which seemingly hurt storm development
After the storm near Hollis started dying off, I called it and headed home the scenic route.
